About Just The Market
Stock trading tips, the metrics on a quote page, and the research steps behind them, for people who read the numbers themselves.
What it covers
Quote pages, screeners and heatmaps put dozens of numbers in front of you. Most of them come with no explanation of how they were calculated or what they leave out. Just The Market covers those numbers one at a time: the metrics section gives the formula for each and works an example through; the how-to guides cover the research tasks, from running a screen to reading a 10-K; the trading tips take a position on how to use the data; and the buyer's guides explain what to test before paying for a research tool.
The calculators do the common sums, P/E, PEG, a discounted cash flow, dividend yield, position size and CAGR, and print the working so you can check it.
Who publishes it
Just The Market is published by FinPubMax Media LLC. Pages carry the site's name. Each one is drafted with AI assistance and reviewed by a named person before it goes live; the credit at the top of every article says who, and how we use AI explains what the review covers.
How a page is put together
Every article starts as a plan: the question readers type, the points the answer must cover, the formulas and published rules it may state, and the pages it should link to. A draft is written to that plan and to the written house rules, then run through an automated check that fails it for dashes, first-person anecdotes, flat sentence rhythm and phrasing repeated from another page. A person then reviews the arithmetic and the claims before it goes live.
Worked examples use invented companies with round numbers on purpose. The point of each one is the method, so you can take the same steps with a real company's filing and get a real answer.
What it is not
It is education, not investment advice. No page recommends a particular stock, and nothing here knows your finances, your tax position or your tolerance for loss. Read the risk disclaimer before acting on anything.
